Blu-Ray Compatibility

Q: Will my current my DVDs and CDs be compatible with Blu-ray equipment?

A: Yes. According to the Blu-ray Disc Association all BD devices should be backward compatible. Many consumer electronics companies (such as Sony, Panasonic, and others) have demonstrated products that can read/write CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs using a BD/DVD/CD compatible optical head.
