Membership FAQ

Q:What types of membership are available in IDEA?
A:

There are three types of membership available in IDEA:  Active, Allied and Alumni.

  1. Active members are those organizations which are involved in the day-to-day management of any segment of game ops at a team or facility. (Including but not limited to: video display, event presentation and marketing personnel.)
  2. Allied members are those companies which supply goods and services to the event presentation and large screen video display industry. (Including but not limited to audio and video equipment, programming, animation, music providers, display manufacturers, game ops peripherals.)
  3. Alumni members are individuals who were formerly employed by IDEA member organizations and are no longer involved in the game operations industry.
 
Q:What are the benefits of membership in IDEA?
A:
Membership includes advance notification of upcoming IDEA events, all IDEA publications, eligibility for participation in the Golden Matrix Awards program, unlimited access to the members-only section of the IDEA website, company name listed on the IDEA website (with links if you so choose) and complimentary job postings.
 
Q:How much does a membership cost?
A:

Annual dues are $450 per year and are per organization.  An organization may list as many individuals as they wish on their membership roster for no additional charge.  If additional people wish to receive all mailings, they may do so at an additional charge of $50 per person.  There is a one-time, new member processing fee of $125.

 
Q:How long does a membership last?
A:
All memberships are good for the calendar year.  Dues statements for the upcoming year are sent in the fall and due December 31.  Organizations who have not submitted their dues for the upcoming year are dropped effective December 31.
